International Bible Conference was founded in 2004 when Pastor Jeff Anderson traveled to India to conduct a pastors’ conference. Each of the pastors in attendance were first-generation Christians who had been delivered from Hindu culture. Hungry for the Word of God, these pastors had a zeal to further the gospel! Burdened for these native pastors, Pastor Jeff sought a way to come alongside these men to encourage them as they dealt with the rejection of their families and society. Jeff exclaims,
“I love pastors and I love the Word of God! I have committed my life to encourage and equip pastors to reach their own cultures and countries with the Gospel of Christ. The Gospel transforms cultures – and native pastors, armed with sound doctrine and expository preaching, will change their churches, villages, countries, and continents. International Bible Conference aims to change the world by exposing native pastors to Bible preaching and true doctrine!”
As the church migrates to the Southern Hemisphere, its greatest threat is false teaching. Indigenous pastors are passionate about the gospel and sacrificial in their service, but often untrained in Scriptures. Millions of young believers are led astray by false doctrines and a false gospel. The undernourished church is “tossed to and fro, carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men” Ephesians 4:14.
IBC conducts Bible conferences for thousands of indigenous pastors in Africa, India, Asia and the Caribbean. Each conference is:
- focused on the expository preaching of God’s Word – modeling verse-by-verse teaching.
- conducted in partnership with indigenous denominations and local Bible institutes providing inexpensive logistics and in-depth follow-up training.
- providing the only Bible, concordance, commentary and theological references most pastors will ever possess.
The Expected Outcome
On average, local denominations in Africa, India and Asia have asked IBC to conduct Bible conferences for 50,000 pastors per year. In the next ten years, a half million pastors will be exposed to the expository preaching of the Word and sound doctrine. Returning home to congregations averaging 100 people, these pastors will directly impact more than 50 million souls.
The gospel and Bible preaching transform cultures! 500,000 pastors preaching the Word and 50 million believers equipped and strengthened will transform Africa, India and Asia. Entire continents can be turned from darkness to light.
Twenty dollars supplies transportation, food, lodging and all conference costs for each pastor in attendance. IBC’s goal is to raise $1 million per year so they can touch 50,000 pastors and impact 5,000,000 believers annually.
